What is negging? Negging (negative remarking) is an old technique of attracting women recently popularized by pick up artist Neil Strauss and Mystery, it is mainly used on attractive women as it targets a vain persons ego.
How Does It Work?
Attractive women are use to being told their beautiful or hot all the time by men so when you come along and tell them the same thing they have heard so many times, it doesn’t raise any interest in them. However, when a man comes a long and subtly puts her down with a negative criticism (small one), it will create confusion, hopefully intrigue her and possibly shake her confidence…this is also why jerks are so appealing to them cause they don’t show any interest and consider them nothing special.
How Negging Affects The Dating Scene
Some examples of negging:
- “Aww thats so cute, your blushing…(pointing at her cheeks) haha it’s like a little red tomato” she’ll say “oh I am not, stop it! :P” thats the point shes become self conscious about herself and the perfect state to start up a conversation.
- “Wow, your almost as tall as me…tall girls are sexy..” that will boost up her confidence, nothing new.But then say something like “Wait, are those 4 or 5 inch heels?” This will make her fall from her cloud of confidence.
- The simplest and first one I came up with was going to the mall and waiting for a beautiful girl to look at herself in the mirror trying some clothes on or putting on some make up, I said something like: “Don’t worry, you don’t look THAT! bad…” in a humorous sort of way, it comes across as a playful way of establishing a conversation and shows your confident/cocky enough to start it.
